    1. Miss Caroline is these traits show miss caroline because she felt confident about she was saying about scout, she is annoyed with scout being "too smart". she is unfair because she is only giving scout a hard time

  2. To describe Miss Caroline i would say she is kidness because in the book it says " Here's a quater, " She said to Walter. " Go and eat downtown today. You can pay me back to tommrow." This connects to the character trait because she was self less, she was thinking of him and being considerate of Walter

  3. Miss.Caroline is a very strict, stubborn, serious and bossy. "Now you tell your father not to teach you any more. It's best to begin with a fersh mind. You tell him ill take over frem here and try to undo the damage" This shows that she wont things to be done her way with out any acceptions.

  4. Miss.Caroline is somone that isnt from the area that scout and jem are so then she would act different.Like from the book in chapter 2 jem says "Our teacher says Miss. Caroline's introduced a new way of teaching. She learned it in collage." Just from that i think that since the new teacher is from the north and scout is from the south that could chang every thing.

  5. "If he didn't teach you who did"? I think it was weird for Miss.Caroline was mad that scout can read."Your father does not know how to teach. You can have a seat know.'' I believe that she wants to be a good teacher but just does not always want to show it.

  6. Miss Caroline can be characterized as inconsiderate, short tempered, and unfair. Miss Caroline shows these traits by, "Miss Caroline told me to tell my father not to teach me any more, it would interfere with my reading." This Quote shows the traits I choice because Miss Coroline went strait to assuming that Scouts father taught her how to read even when she told her he did not.

  7. The 3 charater traits that I would use is Greatful, Poor, and Proud. The quote that i got the traits from are, "Miss Caroline, he's a Cunningham." When Scout says this she means the Cunninghams know that they willn't be able to pay anyone back so they will not take hand out. Plus they are greatful for everything they have. It might not be a lot but they still will take it to the grave.

  8. I think Miss Caroline is stressed, annoyed, and confused. In chapter it says "Saved by the bell, Miss Caroline watched the class file out for lunch. As i was about to leave, i saw her sink down into her chair and bury her head in her arms. Had her conduct been more friendly toward me, i would've felt sorry for her." (pg. 22) This quote explains how Miss Caroline is stressed, annoyed and confused beacuse the way she is acting her actions burieng her head and sinking down into her chair makes her seem that she is stressed, annoyed, and confused.

  9. Ms. Caroline can be very sympothetic and considerate. For this reasoning is because in the book it states, "Miss Caroline went to her desk and opened her purse. 'Here's a quarter ,' she said to Walter. "Go and eat downtown today. You can pay me back tomorrow.' Walter shook his head.' Nome thank yo ma'am,' he drawled softly." This quote represents she is a considerate person and smpothetic. This is because she feels bad that he doesn't have a lunch but still wants to get her money back. Miss Caroline can also be very rude. In the text it states, "she discovered I was literate and looked at me with more than a faint distate. Miss Caroline told me to tell my father not to teach me anymore." This shows that even though Miss Caroline has a student that is exceting espinencially she is rude and yelling at her for being better in literature.

  10. Walter Cunningham is a shy, poor, and hard-working boy, These characteristics are true because in the text it states, "Walter Cunningham's face told everybody in the first grade he had hookworms. His absence of shoes told us how he got them. People caught hookworms going barefooted in barnyards and hog wallows. If Walter had owned any shoes he would have worn them on the first day."
This quote proves my answer because he never really wanted to admit that he had hookworms but his face clearly showed it. He's poor because he would have had shoes but he didnt have enough money to have shoes or buy shoes at the least. It shows he's hardworking because he works at a farm and he tries all he can to stay in school because he's so poor. I feel bad for him ):

  11. Walter Cunningham is unfortunate, poor, and respectful. A quote to prove this is on page 20. "He didn't forget his luch, he didn't have any. He had none today nor would he have any tomorrow or the next day. He had probably never seen three quaters together at the same time in his life." This quote supports the traits because he had no lunch and never would because he is poor and his family can't afford to give him a lunch for school.

  12. Miss. Caroline is rude, unfair, and ignorant. In the book it states,"Let's not let our imaginations run away with us dear,"she said."Now you tell your father not to teach you anymore. This quotation shows that Miss, Caroline keeps thinking that Scout is lying whe he really isn't. She thinks that Scout learned to read from her father.

  14. Miss caroline is unaware, unsatisfy and rude. Because it states in the book " here's a quarter," she said to Walter. Go and eat downtown today. you payme back tommorrow." The quote illustrates my character traits because miss caroline is unaware that the cunningham don't borry anything that they know they can not pay back, and that is why walter could not acept the quarter to go buy lunch.

  15. Miss Caroline is angry, rude, and harsh. in the book in chapter 2 on page 23, Miss Caroline says,"Your father does not know how to teach. You can have a seat now." This quote shows the traits I chose for Miss Caroline because Scout and her dad read at night, but Miss Caroline dosen't like that Scout's dad reads with her and teaches Scout.

  16. Miss Caroline Fisher is rude, bossy, and disrespectful. "Now you tell your father not to teach you anymore. Its best to begin reading with a fresh mind. You tell him I'll take over from here, and try to undo the damage". She is being rude, disrespectful, and bossy to Atticus because she said that he did damage by teaching Scout early.

  17. Miss Caroline is bipolar, kind, and weak. Miss Caroline was mean to Scout but ended up being kind to Walter and giving him money for lunch. Miss Caroline also is weak when she cried in class. In the novel it says, "Miss Caroline went to her desk and opened her purse. "Heres a quarter," she said to Walter." This quote shows Miss Caroline is being kind to Walter.

  18. Miss Caroline Fisher
Sensitive because Burris made her cry. Concerned , when Burris had lice in his head.'' good home remedy for - Burris, I want you to go home and wash your hair''. Confused, when she offered Walter Cunningham a quarter she didnt know his background, until the kids told her

    ReplyDelete
  19. I will call Miss Caroline helpful, caring, and willing. "Burris go home. If you don't i will call the principal". This quote is supporting Miss Carolline because she was offering Walter Cunningham a qutar and burris said that he aint gon nothing.

  20. To describe Ms.Caroline I would say she she is stubborn, inconsiderant, and feeble. In the text it states,"Now you tell your father not to teach you any more. It's best to begin reading with a fresh mind. You tell him I'll take over from here and try to undo the damage- Ma'am? Your father does not know how to teach. You can have a seat now." (pg 17) This quote shows me that Ms.Caroline is inconsiderate and stubborn. Also stated,"As I was the last to leave , I saw her sink down into her chair and bury her head in her arms." This quote shows me that Ms.Caroline is feeble and does not know how to control her students.

  21. Miss Caroline can be annoyed, bossy, and rude. "Miss Caroline went to her desk and opened her purse 'heres a quarter' she said to Walter. 'go eat down down today. You can pay me back tommorow ." The reson I picked annoyed, bossy, and rude is because she WANTS Walter to have lunch, but she wont understand why hes not taking the quater. If she just stopped for a second to listen to Scout then she would understand why.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Miss Caroline is unexperienced and kind of closed minded. The reason I say that is because in the book, when Scout read well, Miss Caroline said "Now you tell your father not to teach you any more. It's best to begin reading with a fresh mind. You tell him I'll take over from here and try to undo the damage-". This quote proves that she is close minded and unexperienced because she was angry that Scout could read so well at a young age and she "wasnt supposed to" be able to read at her age. She can also be very nice because when Walter Cunningham didn't have lunch she said "'Here's a quarter,' she said to Walter. 'Go and eat downtown today. You can pay me back tomorrow." This quote shows that she can be nice because she offered to give him money so he could eat lunch

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ms. Caroline is stressed and gets annoyed at times because of the way she was buriening her head in her in her arms. She can also be nice becuase in the book it says ''Here's a quater She said to Walter" now go eat downtown today." She is tring to help because she cares for him.

  24. miss caroline is rude, mean, and sensitive. in the text "your father does not know how to teach. you can have a seat now" this shows that she is rude and mean because she is being direspectful to a students father. "miss caroline smiled, blew her nose, said 'thank you darlings,'". this shows that she is sensitive because she is crying because a student said something bad to her.

  25. "We saw him off on the five o’clock bus and I was miserable without him until it occured to me that I would be starting to school in a week. I never looked forward to anything in my life." I think scout is anxious, happy, and young. The reason being is because she is just starting school and she can’t wait until she goes to school.
“Miss Caroline was no more than twenty-one. She had bright auburn hair, pink cheeks, and wore crimson fingernail polish." I think Ms Caroline is flashy. Touchy, and confident. The reason why is because kids back then thought that was cool and the teacher is trying to impress somebody.
“As the Cunningham’s had no money to pay a lawyer, they simply paid us with what they had” I think the Cunningham’s are doubtful, embarrassed, hopeless, unhealthy, poor, and unsatisfied. They are doubtful and hopeless because they have no money to buy anything. I think they are embarrassed because they can’t pay for a lawyer. They are unsatisfied because they are poor.

  26. Walter Cunningham is an unfortunate child who does not have as many necessities as his fellow peers, yet he does not complain for what he does not have. He is thankful for what he does have. He also attends school as he needs to every year and yet he is unable to pass the first grade because of his circumstances at home. In the book, Walter explains his predicament to Atticus Finch by saying, “Reason I can’t pass the first grade, Mr. Finch, is I’ve had to stay out evr’ spring an’ help Papa with the choppin’, but there’s another’n at the house now that’s field size.” (pgs. 31-32). Walter has also been raised to be an honorable young boy. He was taught to never take anything if he couldn’t repay the person.

  27. Walter Cunnigham is poor and doesn't have much. On page 24 it says "Walter poured syrup on his vegetables and meat with a generous hand." This shows that Walter was really hungry because his family can't afford to buy him luch, so when Jem invited him over for luch. Walter ate as much as he could because he probably won't have a lot of food when he goes home.

  28. I believe that Miss Caroline is a headstrong, innocent, and also kind of rude. I think this because in the text, it says " I am Miss Caroline Fisher. I am from North Alabama, in Winston County." (pg 16) I chose this quote because she is from a different area, and does not know the customs of the area and therefore maybe rude to the people of the area.

  29. 3 character traits about Miss. Caroline Fisher is, she is Cruel, vicious, and hateful. "Miss Caroline apperantley thought i was lying. "Lets not get our imaginatinations run away with us dear," she said. "now you tell your father not to teach you any more. It's best to begin reading with a fresh mind. You tell him i'll take over from here and try to undo the damage--" "Ma'am?" "Your father does not know how to teach. You can have a seat now." (Too Kill A Mockingbird page 17) This quotes shows that Miss. Caroline Fisher is hateful, cruel, and Vicious because she doesn't want Atticus to teach Scout how to read. So she wants to have her own way.

  30. Miss Caroline is a ignorant, woman. She doesn't know much about teaching, and her class in immensly out of control. They do whatever they want whenever they want. And because of this, she is weak, and stressful. In the book, when Scout gets "spanked" it states, "A storm of laughter broke loose when it finally occoured to the class the Miss Caroline had whipped me. When Miss CCaroline threatened it with a similar fate the first grade exploded again...Saved by the bell, Miss Caroline watched the class file out for lunch. As I was the last one to leave I saw her sink down into her chair and burry her head into her arms" This porves how Ms Caroline is not an experienced teacher, and because of the fact she has no control over her class, she cries.

  31. One of three traits that describes Miss Caronlie is sensitive. For example the quote, "I saw her sink down into her chair and bury her head in her arms." proves she is sensitive because she's crying because of loosing control over her class.
Another trait is naive because the quote that says, "There aint no need to fear a cootie, ma'am, aint you ever seen one?" shows how Miss Caroline knew little about life in Maycomb thus making her naive to the situation of living with cooties. Lastly Miss Caroline is envious. The quote that explains that is, "Now tell your father not to teach you anymore. It's best to begin reading with a fresh mind. You tell him i'll take over from here and try to undo the damage." This quote shows that Miss Caroline is jealous that Atticus teaching skills is better then her own so she wants to 'undo the damage', so scout will lear to read fom her not Atticus.

  32. Miss Caroline is clueless, mean and very unaware."Go and eat downtown today. You can pay me back tommorow."(pg.19) That is what Miss Caroline said to Walter Cunningham, she was unaware of the Cunninghams being poor. She was mean when she said "Your father does not know how to teach."(17) to Scout.

  33. Three character traits that describe miss caroline are rude, impatient, and smart. In the classroom miss caroline says " Your father oes not know how to teach. you can have a seat now." this is kind of rude to atticus because its insulting him. "Here walter, come get it." this shows impatiences because after she keeps telling him to take the quarter and he still doesn't she is now tryng to kind of force him to come and get it. " Our teacher says miss caroline's introducing a new way of teaching. she learned about it in college........" she must have been smart to have gone to college

  35. Walter Cunningham is poor, wise and scared. " Walter poued syrup all over his vegatables and meat with a generous hand. He would have poured it into his milk had I not said what the sam hill he was doing" This shows that Walter is poor because he is trying to get everything into his meal at once. That also shows that he is wise. He is scared because of what Scout did to him at recess.

  36. Miss Caroline is an, unfair, sharp and proper teacher. A quote from the book To Kill A Mockingbird it states "One of the elderly members of the class qanswered her, he's one of the Ewells ma'am, i wondered if this conversation would as unsuccesfully as mine, but Miss Caroline was willing to listen." This quote proves that Miss Caroline is unfair because she had a big 'tantrum' about Scout telling information about Walter Cunningham and about his family, but when this elderly member speaks up to tell her about the Ewells, Miss Caroline took the information kindly. Miss Caroline seems to take Scout for granted and doesnt want her to succeed in her class. With that I infer that Scout styed back because the teacher the year before didnt want her to read or write either.

  37. One of three traits that describes Walter Cunningham is that he is dirty. For examble the quote says "Walter Cunningham is a boy who does not take money from people because he wouldn't be able to pay it back. Another trait is that Walter Cunningham doesn't bring lunch to school because he does not eat.
The third trait is that Walter Cunningham went home for lunch with Jem and Scout and had a lovely lunch with syrup

  38. "Miss Caroline caught me writing and told me to tell my father to stop teaching me." From this she's misjudging how Scout is reading and is drawing conclusions the wrong way. She's easily fed up because she got so upset learning that Scout was able to read and write.

  39. Walter is a poor, underprivleged, ragedy young man. he doesnt take money from anybody if he cant repay them.

  40. Miss Caroline is a very distasteful person she is very much so ignorant person she has no type of filter and doesn't care even if you are a little child I feel like harsh also but she sometimes have good intention." miss caroline stood stock still, then by the collar and hauled me back to her desk"." Jean Louise, I've had enough of you this morning". (pg.21)
